:::carnival:::

During 12 years I dedicated myself to this beautiful Samba School for Children from Duque de Caxias in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. As part of the schools' creative direction, I designed parades with over 1500 children, that every year meet up on this avenue with 25000 other children. In Rio, Carnival is all year round, when we weren't parading, we were creating, drawing, preparing, building, dancing, meeting and playing. We designed and coordinated projects in primary schools, technical schools, universities, cultural centers, the school's warehouse its court.

Contos Circuitos is an invitation to inventiveness through experiments, costumes, multilinear narratives and eletronic circuits. A playful system to mix realities and create interactive fiction, to play with wearable creatures, sound gadgets and interactive spaces, to dive into a childhood universe.

This project was created as part of a research on childhood experiments within learning spaces. It holds researches and labs where children create their own multi-toys, fantasies and narratives. It took place in schools, cultural centers and maker spaces as; Centro de Artes Helio Oiticica, Olabi, Fabulosa, ERAP – Art and technology school in Rio Negro, Patagonia, Oi Futuro and Território Inventivo.

....some say that "play is the highest form of research”.

"How a childhood play can have social tactics values, including the guerrilla of each moment, each gesture...

the children are the ones who embody the future; they keep the keys to conflicts and to all historical transformations."

"Cuando las imagénes toman posición" by Didi-Hubermn
